Hello everyone, I’m back after nearly three weeks of coding, and many sleepless nights I have finished my hand-coded blog as well as wrote up a new layout. After being on wordpress for a couple months, then suddenly deciding to switch to a new blog system is a pain, but I did it. 43 blog entries, 72 comments, and about 40 pages of content (all of which had to be handcoded). Although it was a lot of work, I did enjoy doing it, and I would reccomend that anyone trying to attempt this should try Codegrrl.com‘s tutorial on Build A blog, its a great way to learn PHP and you end up with an awesome blog!
EDIT: back to wordpress. I missed it too much.
Now Back to Life
The last couple weeks have been kinda boring, not much has really been going on, its summer and everyone is either away or busy. My sleeping schedule is now completely and utterly screwed up!
Sleep: 6am – 6pm
Wake: 6pm – 6am
Its horrible and my mom isn’t too happy about it either. 
Oh well, I have the whole rest of the summer to get back on track.
The Dog!
A couple days ago was my sister’s birthday and mom my sister would joke with my mom saying “So and so is going to get me a dog.” And mom would reply to that with “Yeah, and then you and the dog will be living outside.” So as my sisters birthday got closer, mom had no idea what to get her. So the day of her party my sisters friends came over and they were acting like loonatics. The friends that came included (I’ll give name, my name for them, and a description of their personality)
Kate – Blue – Hyperactive twin of Liz. Petrified of me.
Liz – Pink – Hyperactive twin of Kate. Also petrified of me.
All(ie?)y – (No Nickname) – AAAAHHHH!!!!! She drove me nuts!
Tracy – (No nickname) – Just there, didn’t say too much.
Devin – (No Nickname) – Also kinda there, made fun of my sisters toes (strange I know!)
Kaylinn – The Indian Girl – Loud, and kinda rude.
Now all these girls along with my sister were in our tiny house from 5 until 8 and it was raining so it was nuts! They then went to my grandma’s house and spent the night there. (She was extremely brave for doing that).
So a few nights later, my mom still hadn’t gotten my sisters present. I saw her looking in the newspaper for dogs in the “For Sale” section, and she couldn’t find one. She was trying to be all secretive too, but she kinda gave it away when she asked what a maltipoo was. She looked all over and she couldn’t find any dogs that would stay relativly small (as our house is small enough with five people in it.
So yesterday we went to Holly’s Hounds (a pet store in the mall) and out in the hallway of the mall they had little puppies in a pen, my sister immediatly ran over to the pen and saw a little black and white puppy (kinda looks like it has cow spots). Anyways, my mom called my grandma who came up and inquired about the dog and we found out it was a purebred male Chinese Crested Powderpuff. We then ended up buying it, so now we have a dog at our house. Ill upload some pics into the gallery later.
It was brought to my attention that there was an error with the contact form. I have gone through and saw that it was an extremely stupid mistake on my part. It is fixed now, and I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.
On Another Note
I am currently adding the contests as well as some more tutorials right this minute. I promised and they are coming!

Yep, I’m sick again. Pneumonia is so much fun. Anyways, went to the doctor today, and he was worried, (which makes you feel great!). So now im on tons of medecine and am out of gym until further notice, (but it doesn’t matter, I am FAILING gym due to absences now, (but mom should take care of that he he). Anyways,slept from 4pm until 10pm, so now I’m wide awake.
Sway Forum
I finally reached 500 posts at Sway Forum. It’s really not a big deal because majority of the members have over 1000 posts, but I lurk more than anything. But I didn’t even notice I made it to 500 posts, until today when i saw i had 510. So my new user title is Mindless Dictator. Also see my awesome avatar made by Makar.
As For Updates
I wrote a few more tutorials, they are simple javascript ones, but I have some more advanced ones coming, I promise. I also added a countdown, It probably doesn’t have much relevance to you, but I’ve been counting down until the end of the school year since September. We’re almost there.
New Sites
I am also working on a few new websites. Dev-Network & The Hangout <<Resurrected>>. The first is simply a forum/web design help site, not too much I can really say there. But I am really excited about The Hangout Resurrected. Think neopets, but not as cheesy (and no pets, I don’t think). The Hangout was my very first extremely bad attempt at a website. Infact thats where my username hdshngout came from. I retired it last summer, but now I want to bring it back. The ‘new’ Hangout should be opening late this summer.
And Can’t Forget about Gym Class!
This really has no revelance at all, but it was different. First we got there, and we played Line Tag. Thats where you run around the gym and tag people, but you can only stay on the lines painted on the floor, and when your tagged you had to sit on the line and create a road block. Keep in mind were 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. Below is a simplified version of the lines painted on the gym floor:
We then played this game where we had to run around in 2 circles and find your partner and do a pose, like the dev-site theres not really too much I can say here.
After that we played Red Rover, it was going fine until one kid said, “Lets link our arms in a chain.” Of course when that happens someone comes running into you and it kills. That happened to me. My friend Tom ran into my and my friends little brother, JJ, and nearly ripped our arms off. (We did manage to stop him though 
).
After that we played Simon Says. It was quite strange. The kid who suggested it got to be Simon, but when he said “Simon Says: Pick your Friends Nose,” I quit. Come on, thats just wrong.
And finally we played Duck Duck Goose. It was strange, the kids in the class had as much fun as if they were in kindergarten. A bit strange, but it wasn’t a bad gym class at all.
Thats right! I’m back from Myrtle Beach, rested and ready to go. I am really tired and should go to bed, but I can’t… too busy messing with my new graphics tablet! Anyways, I will be writing more tutorials and offering some new downloads in the near future. Be on the lookout!
Its 1:06am I just figured out how to use flat files. I am so excited you wouldn’t believe it. I never quite understood the functions like fopen(); explode(); and a few other ones, but I got it now. So now I can code using flat files and mysql. Albeit I am still learning flat files and theres a lot left with php, its still good to know. I am also coding some new scripts. Be on the lookout for those. Im kinda tired, so im going to bed.
I’m so creative with titles aren’t I? Anyways, Sunday night I tried to go to bed at around 10pm, that worked fine, the bad part is I woke up at about 2:00am and I couldn’t get back to sleep. When I finally fell back asleep it was about 5 in the morning, so I slept another hour before I had to get up for school. I went to school and was so tired. Then I ran in gym and I forgot to breath. Come on. How can I forget to breath?!?! So the half mile nearly killed me. Spanish, lunch, and english followed. And of course I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t eat and got a really bad headache. Do you have any idea how hard it is reading “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar” when you have a splitting headache?!? Anyways, I came home and slept until about 11. Got up ate dinner and went back to sleep. It just sucked.

A Final Note
Tomorrow is my birthday!
Last night around 7:00 pm, I was stuck with an idea for a new layout. So I opened up photoshop and started messing around, then after about an hour, the Image you see at the top was beginning to take shape. I cheated this time, I just edited the Kubrick Layout . Anyways, I put the image in, then started coding around it. About eight hours later, this layout appeared. Its probably the most colorful layout I have EVER done :jaw-dropping:! I am debugging it in other browsers, so it’s not 100% complete yet, but its close. What do you think?
Ok, Im seriously gonna lose it. Today started as a somewhat normal day, but it turned to CRAP amazingly quickly. First my mom is kinda going insaine, getting mad at things that really don’t matter. We have no idea why but shes been yelling at everyone a lot. Then I go to my grandmothers for late easter dinner (a few days late, but whatever). We eat and everything is fine, but then my grandma tries to make me feel guilty about not staying the night at her house, she pulled out pictures and books I used to have her read to me when I was little. (Her guilt trip worked). So now I feel like a piece of crap for not spending the night, but to make matters worse, her dogs irritated my allergies, so I now have a splitting sinus headache. Then the icing on the cake. Mindless Trio, my main site was hacked. I am just so thrilled right now. :shout:
I finally got the stupid archive drop down to work as well as a link to Carly’s brushes. (Carly had the brushes originally and the domain was given to me!). Anyways, more downloads are coming as well as a little more attention to the site
EDIT: I also got the plugboard working. Don’t ask how, cause to be honest I couldn’t tell you :clapping:. I am also adding some new stuff tonite, more information on that when I finish :scratchchin:
