I believe that if anything is worth doing, it would have been done already.

I shall never move quickly, except to avoid more work or find excuses.

I will never rush into a job without a lifetime of consideration.

I shall meet all of my deadlines directly in proportion to the amount of bodily injury I could expect to receive from missing them.

I firmly believe that tomorrow holds the possibility for new technologies, astounding discoveries, and a reprieve from my obligations.

I truly believe that all deadlines are unreasonable regardless of the amount of time given.

I shall never forget that the probability of a miracle, though infinitesmally small, is not exactly zero.

If at first I don’t succeed, there is always next year.

I shall always decide not to decide, unless of course I decide to change my mind.

I shall always begin, start, initiate, take the first step, and/or write the first word, when I get around to it.

I obey the law of inverse excuses which demands that the greater the task to be done, the more insignificant the work that must be done prior to beginning the greater task.

I know that the work cycle is not plan/start/finish, but is wait/plan/plan.

I will never put off until tomorrow, what I can forget about forever.

I will become a member of the ancient Order of Two-Headed Turtles (the Procrastinator’s Society) if they ever get it organized.

This is me all over!

For some strange reason I have been obsessed with The Wizard of OZ lately. About a week ago I was looking through snopes.com, and they had a small section on the Wizard of Oz. After reading about the munchkin who supposidly hung himself during the Tin Man scene and how Margaret Hamilton (The Wicked Witch of the West) once was severly burned in the scene in Munchkinland; I had the strangest urge to watch the movie. So after searching for two days I found it (down in a box in extra room in the basement). I rushed upstairs and watched it.
The movie began with the really old “FBI Warning (it scrolled up, and didn’t have a blue background!). Then the MGM Lion roared and it was like I was six all over again. Dorothy and Toto running down the road.
Its so amazing to watch a movie you’ve watched a hundred times when you were little, then after years, rewatching it and it making much more sense (and being almost like an entirely different movie). In fact, the entire scene at the farm seemed to flow better than I remembered it was a child. The scene where Dorothy visits Professor Marvel and he looks into the crystal ball even made more sense. Then the tornado scene. The special effects workers did an AMAZING job with that. The tornado was extremely realistic looking, and was close to that of “Twister”, and this was done nearly sixty years earlier.
All in all the movie was amazing, it was as though I saw the movie through new eyes. New connections were made, and I was inclined to research the movie even more…

(Wow, that’s pretty sad)

Anyways, through my research I discovered some interesting facts about the movie, and the OZ series.

Did you know…

*Shirley Temple was originally wanted to play Dorothy, but was not able to due to a contract problem with FOX.

*The tornado scene cost nearly $8,000, before they scraped it and started over.

*There is an animated sequel to the movie called “Journey Back to Oz” and Dorothy was voiced by Judy Garlands daughter.

*Disney made an unofficial sequel called “Return to Oz,” this story was much darker than the original and became a cult-classic.

*Glinda, The Good Witch of the North, was actually a combination of “Glinda The Sourceress of the South,” and “The Good Witch of the North.”

*Oz is a square land divided into 4 quadrants. Munchkin Country in the east, Winkie Country in the West (east and west are backwards in Oz), Gillikan Country in the North, and Quadling Country in the South. In the direct center is Emerald City.

Anyways, to wrap it up, theres a ton more I learned, but as I am as of now unable to see straight, I will end this post. Want to learn more? Be sure to check out

Wow, its been a while since I’ve updated. Oh well, things should be getting a bit more interesting soon… I hope.

Anyways, today I went with my friends family to the Country Fair and we watched the demolition derby (redneck I know). It was from 7pm til 10pm and we got to see about 70 cars get destroyed. It was quite interesting, but not really my cup of tea. It was extremely loud too, I hate when one car revs its engine, let alone 12 of them! When it was finally over, my friends parents talked to a bunch of other people and I then we finally left and I cam home. I got a drink and dinner and went to bed around midnight. It’s now 4 and I feel like crap. My legs hurt, I feel thursty but when I drink somthing it doesn’t taste right, and I can’t sleep! I don’t know whats wrong with me! Oh well, now I’ll probably sleep all day.

I’m also pretty excited, sometime this week my family and I are going to an amusement part somewhere, either Knoebels or Seabreeze. I’m hoping Knoebels because theres a TON there and you only pay for what rides you want to go on, instead of X amount of dollars to get into the park which will be good for my grandma who can only go on certain rides (eg the Log Flume).

Thats it for now, off to check a couple forums then I’ll try to sleep again. =/

Yesterday was such a fun day. I had a job interview at subway, so my grandmother took me to that. For once we got there early! So i sat there and waited for the woman interviewing me to get done with her job. So when the interview finally started, I had sat there for over a half an hour, (not bad, but nerve racking). She asked me the basics like “What do you feel you can bring to subway” and the like. So when it was finally over, my grandma took me to her house to get my sister so we could leave for Cooperstown.

The trip started ok, the occasional bad driver, but you can’t avoid them. We stopped and had dinner at Cracker Barrel, then left. Of course the main bridge had to be out so we had to take a detour that ended up being an hour out of the way. By the time we made it to Cooperstown it was around 6:30. We looked at some campgrounds and one was hideous. The neighbors were scary, they had a “petting zoo” and a putt-putt course made from old trashcans.

We then decided to go see the hospital where my grandma would be working. She was telling us a little bit about it, and how it looked like the hospital in our home town. She then started telling us about the new heart clinic when she drove into a pothole and blew up the tire. Of course, when this happens its during a downpour and there is thunder and lightning.

A volunteer firefighter comes and changes the tire for my grandma, and by the time hes done, the AAA towtruck is there. We drive to his shop because he said the tire wasn’t good enough to get us the 3 hour highway ride back to Elmira. So in the shop we look at the tire and there is a golf ball sized hole in the tire and it was beyond repair. The repairman ripped apart an old car to get the tire off and in the process we were there for over two hours.

Then things started to get creepy. The repairman started flirting with my grandma. He told her how he was a urologist, an ambulance driver, a painter, and everything under the sun. He then told her how he moved up here from Houston, Texas, and vowed to stay in New York after his wife left him in the 1990′s. Then my grandma was giving me her password to her cell phone and it was her birthyear. The repairman said, “Oh, its 1970.” (I hope not, my mom was born in 1969…) When it was all fixed we were going to get a drink and he followed us down the road. My grandma the whole way home kept asking if he was following us.

We then went to a Best Western to check the rates as my grandmother has yet to find a place to stay. We got in there and there were these annoying little brats running around. She walked up to the desk and waited for the man who appeared to be watching the children to talk to her. He didn’t. He, as she later found out, was made of wax. The fact that he was missing fingers should have tipped her off.

After that happened we went to get ice cream, and my sister found someones wallet and they spent a good half hour trying to find a phone number to call the guy. We finally left and got home and it was after 1. Mom said she left the door unlocked for us… and guess what… it wasn’t unlocked. Its pitch black out, dead silent, and we’re locked out. My grandma called into the house (as no one was answering the door) and mom came and unlocked the door. I went into my room and went to bed.

Now today, Im sick and feel like garbage. “Thanks alot Cooperstown!”

The Blog & Site

Hello everyone, I’m back after nearly three weeks of coding, and many sleepless nights I have finished my hand-coded blog as well as wrote up a new layout. After being on wordpress for a couple months, then suddenly deciding to switch to a new blog system is a pain, but I did it. 43 blog entries, 72 comments, and about 40 pages of content (all of which had to be handcoded). Although it was a lot of work, I did enjoy doing it, and I would reccomend that anyone trying to attempt this should try Codegrrl.com‘s tutorial on Build A blog, its a great way to learn PHP and you end up with an awesome blog!

EDIT: back to wordpress. I missed it too much.

Now Back to Life

The last couple weeks have been kinda boring, not much has really been going on, its summer and everyone is either away or busy. My sleeping schedule is now completely and utterly screwed up!

Sleep: 6am – 6pm
Wake: 6pm – 6am

Its horrible and my mom isn’t too happy about it either. Oh well, I have the whole rest of the summer to get back on track.

The Dog!
A couple days ago was my sister’s birthday and mom my sister would joke with my mom saying “So and so is going to get me a dog.” And mom would reply to that with “Yeah, and then you and the dog will be living outside.” So as my sisters birthday got closer, mom had no idea what to get her. So the day of her party my sisters friends came over and they were acting like loonatics. The friends that came included (I’ll give name, my name for them, and a description of their personality)

Kate – Blue – Hyperactive twin of Liz. Petrified of me.
Liz – Pink – Hyperactive twin of Kate. Also petrified of me.
All(ie?)y – (No Nickname) – AAAAHHHH!!!!! She drove me nuts!
Tracy – (No nickname) – Just there, didn’t say too much.
Devin – (No Nickname) – Also kinda there, made fun of my sisters toes (strange I know!)
Kaylinn – The Indian Girl – Loud, and kinda rude.

Now all these girls along with my sister were in our tiny house from 5 until 8 and it was raining so it was nuts! They then went to my grandma’s house and spent the night there. (She was extremely brave for doing that).

So a few nights later, my mom still hadn’t gotten my sisters present. I saw her looking in the newspaper for dogs in the “For Sale” section, and she couldn’t find one. She was trying to be all secretive too, but she kinda gave it away when she asked what a maltipoo was. She looked all over and she couldn’t find any dogs that would stay relativly small (as our house is small enough with five people in it.

So yesterday we went to Holly’s Hounds (a pet store in the mall) and out in the hallway of the mall they had little puppies in a pen, my sister immediatly ran over to the pen and saw a little black and white puppy (kinda looks like it has cow spots). Anyways, my mom called my grandma who came up and inquired about the dog and we found out it was a purebred male Chinese Crested Powderpuff. We then ended up buying it, so now we have a dog at our house. Ill upload some pics into the gallery later.

This is extremely strange, (and cause I have nothing better to blog about), so I figured I would blog about it here. Last night I had a really weird dream that seemed like it could be a movie, or book or somthing. It started like this…

I was driving with my mother along a new road they built along Seneca Lake. As we were driving it seemed like I had been down the road hundreds of times before, quite possibly from an earlier dream. As we were driving tractor trailers and the like were all over and there were huge cracks in the road which caused the car to jerk really hard when we drove over them. We were then in a small town near Seneca Falls and Waterloo, there I got into my grandmothers car along with my sister. I think we were going to my grandmothers house which was in Seneca Falls, but on our way through this strange little town, the car broke down so my grandmother stopped and we went to ask for help in this long, old house.

We knocked on the door and was greeted by a woman who appeared to be in her late 30′s along with her two children. We stepped into the house and on to this extremely weird porch. There we began explaining what happened and where we could get help. She explained that the nearest machanic lived quite far from where we were and that we might as well make ourselves comfortable in the town she referred to as Dewittsville. So with that, my grandmother, my sister, and I walked into the town. There we saw a sign that said in faded wooden letters, “Welcome to Dewitteville.” My sister and I started talking and I got a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. My grandmother decided to go into the small general store to see if they had a phone, as she had the strange feeling too. She went into the store and that was the last we saw of her.

It was now getting dark and my sister and I were getting anxious waiting for our grandmother. We decided to return to the house we had originally went to upon arriving in Dewittville. We knocked on the door and the same woman, looking much older, allowed us to enter, and first thing she said was “Take off your shoes and don’t step on the carpet.” With that she walked into another room and the house became eerily quiet. To top that off, outside the house became pitch black and silent. I looked at my sister and she it was obvious she was extremely uneasy about being in the house. With that, we decided that we would try our luck outside, but to our despiar, there was no way out, the doors and windows were bolted shut. We were trapped in the house.

We then tried to walk further into the house, but for some reason the sound of the old woman saying ” . . . don’t step on the carpet” was stuck in my head. We looked down on the carpet and there were huge redish colored stains on it continuing all the way down the hall. That was too much, I knew then that we HAD to get out of the house. We ran down the hall, the house silent, and then we hard loud footsteps coming from the far end of the hallway. We ran into the first open door we could find, and of course, it was a bathroom. We looked for a light, then my sister turned it on and we saw it. The mirror and bathtub had a coating of a dried red somthing. At first it appeared to be paint, but the smell in the room told us otherwise. We attempted to open the window and rush out, but somthing hit the ground with a BOOM! Then we heard a creaking of someone getting out of a bed then a loud pounding on the door followed by “What are you doing in there?” and “Who are you?!” Terrified we ran from the bathroom and back to the front room.

Sitting in the chair was the old woman and here two children grinning in a terrifying and maniacal way. We turned around and saw a huge man standing there. I then blacked out.

I awoke a few hours later, and my sister and I were on the concrete porch, it was daylight. Both of us still shaken from the night before knew we had to get out and the only way we could was to do it at that very moment. We threw everything at the walls in hopes of breaking through, then we saw it. A wooden rocking chair, sitting in the corner. It seemed heavy enough to break through the wall. We knew it was our last hope of escape. But just as I picked up the chair, the woman ran shreaking into the room and screamed “What are you doing? NOOOOOOO!!!!” in a banshee like tone. I threw the chair, and we ran deep into the woods.

We came upon a clearing with hundreds of cars sitting on train tracked, and there was a sound of a train whistle in the background. We spotted our truck and ran to it, and of course inside was Pete. We jumped in and the other cars all started driving all over, we drove and were having a horrible time getting off the train tracks. Just as the train was less than 10 yards behind us, he made it off the tracks and we drove away, the sounds of crunching metal behind us. We had escaped Dewittville.

This was an extremely intense dream. I woke up and my heart was pounding and I was breathing hard. I was then wired as if I had just chugged Mountain Dew. I got up and did some stuff, like reformatted my computer (it was being werid).

I then decided to blog about my dream, but first I figured I’d look up dewittville to see if it was a real place. I was amazed to find it was. Dewittville, NY is about 2 hours away from my town, and heres a scarier part. The woman in my dream was too. Her name was Margaret Clara Bittner (Jan. 12, 1908 – July 31, 1991). .

I’m sure it was a coincidence, but its still quite freaky.

AAAHHHH!

The last couple of days have been quite hectic, but I’m not going to really get into that. Since its summer, I have become nocturnal staying up until the sun rises, then going back to bed. It turns out that Today, I slept until 4pm and no one bothered to wake me up. You’ll never guess what woke me up….

GAS from the stove. Someone had turned the knob of the gas-powered stove on so there was no flame, but gas was being emitted into the house. The worst part is no one but me could smell it. So the second i smelled it, i traced it to the kitchen and turned it off. I have no idea how long it was going, but do you know how bad it is to smell gas first thing when you wake up?! And then have no one else smell it?!?

The Bride of Chucky
And now for the movie. I couldn’t sleep last night and The Bride of Chucky was on tv so i watched it. Let me just say it was really strange. Many people (my mother included) are freaked out by the movie…and I just found it funny. The characters die in the strangest ways, from the mirror shattering and killing the newly weds, to the guy getting hit by the big rig. It was so cheap looking it was funny. The thing that kinda confused me was the fact that if you shot or stabbed the dolls they would “die,” but they’re plastic. Would it really hurt them? And why did no one notice the knife in Chucky’s pocket? Overall I got a fairly good laugh out of it.

September 24, 1779 – this date hallmarks the time and hallowed ground where lie the true relics and sun-bleached skulls of the American Military Pack horses of the armies of Major-General John Sullivan. These peaceful servants of General Sullivan and his officers, with about 5000 “ragged rebels” (as expressed by King George III) brought forth a gallantry in the American Revolutionary War’s western campaign against the Six Nations of Indians (Iroquois).

Burdened down with heavy military equipment in their 450-mile journey through a wooden wilderness from Easton, PA over to Wyoming, and on up the Susquehanna River Trail to Elmira, NY, they continued north through Horseheads to the Finger Lakes Region and west to Geneseo. Returning the same route to Horseheads, these military pack horses had reached the end of their endurance. Here, General Sullivan, through humanitary reasons was compelled to dispose of these partners in the cause of American freedom.

A few years later, the skulls of the horses were arrayed along the trail in defiant fashion by a few returning Indians, as a gesture that the same fate would be met by any settler, should he attempt to homestead on this location. The first settlers, reading these Indian signs, promptly built their homes on the spot. The Town and Village of Horseheads rose in tribute to glorify the event. This location, first known as “The Valley of Horses Heads” was later changed to Horseheads, New York.

Isn’t that lovely. A town named after a road “paved” with decapitated horse heads. Don’t ask why i shared, was talking to Georgie, was inspired to tell her, so now I must tell you.

After months of waiting it is finally here. 11 Days of no school, not much but we needed it. For some reason my school thinks that we don’t need a spring break, but the parents thought otherwise, so they kinda squeezed one in. We go an extra day because of the lack of snowdays which is good I guess, but I like the cold, so I would’ve prefered a snowday. But anyways today was so chaotic (and deathly boring for me). I go to art which I have period 1/2, I finished my perspective project, so I just sat there. Period 3/4 I had web page design and because the internet was offline, we learned to use spreadsheets. It was the most fun I have had in my ENTIRE life! :yuc1: Period 5/6 I had a spanish test, I think I did ok, but probably not so hot on the listening. Oh well. During Period 7/8 I went to the computer lab and hung out (mainly because it’s Air Conditioned). It was extremely chaotic. My friends were being extremely perverted and annoying, so I fled. To make matters worse, there were a ton of substitutes (big suprise!), and they let everyone run free. So the school was in pure chaos. When period 9/10 finally came, I was bored to tears :bigcry1:. I wrote a stupid IRP Log. I finished with about 16 minutes to spare. She gave us free time. BAD IDEA! Kids were jumping out windows and running through the halls, there were fist-fights and the whole lot. So much fun! I finally caught the bus and went home. I took a nap, did a bit of updating on here, and its now 2:24 AM and i’m going to bed.
