I will be screwed come the restart of school

Christmas Break (or should I say, Winter Recess, to be more politically correct) has been awesome. Albeit it’s only a week away from the freaks which I am forced to associate with daily, but still freedom from them! :P

To top that off, the end of the first semester is drawing nearer and nearer. But as a result of this, I have a feeling that the work-load is going to double if not quadruple. I am quite surprised however, at the amount of homework I had over vacation. Only 40 note-cards for an American Literature essay. Considering I am taking classes like AP Spanish, I am surprised that I only received that assignment! :D

Over the course of break, my sleeping schedule is getting more and more messed up (as I’m sure many other people’s are too). Going to bed at four or five in the morning and waking up in mid to late afternoon. I’m expecting it to lead to my downfall come next week. Last night, as I’m sure everyone knows, Saddam Hussein was executed (I’m expecting to hear nothing but this for quite some time). My sister and I, both interested in what the result of this would be were watching CNN last night and we became quite uneasy.

Only hours following the execution, a car-bomb exploded at an Airport in Madrid, Spain as well as increased violence in Iraq. The fact that across the bottom of the screen, messages of fear of repercussions in the U.S. did even more to instill this feeling within us. I myself have no idea as to what will occur, but I am pretty sure it won’t be good.

    Hi! Thanks for your comment!

There’s no snow here neither but the skiivillage is snow safe so there’ll be at least 10 downhills open

I am a bit frustrated over my switch of the day- As you say it’ll come back to me when school starts, not for another 2 weeks though.

About Saddam Hussein I believe that murder is murder. I don’t care if it’s an execution or not. USA just did this to get back at Iraq but now a world war will start or something. We havn’t seen the end of this…

I’m dreading going back to classes. It’s going to be a rush to graduate this spring. I’m also not looking forward to waking up early 3 days a week again. :(

Eh…Iraq executed a previous leader. What I don’t understand is why they did it for crimes from the 80s. Why not more recent ones? Oh well…either way they were going to hang him – it’s their law. It’s not really a big shocker that the violence has increased a bit. People are going to be angry, others will be happy. Though I don’t think we’re getting into a world war… :\ I do think it’ll be a long time before this whole thing ends.

I have two peices of homework to do but lost some of the stuff and don’t have some the facilities to do it. School sucks so much sometimes.

The hanging was kinda pointless in that fact is solved no problems.

A winter breaks are wonderful!! While they last lol. I’m not in school anymore but the sleeping issues affect getting back to work too. I’m not looking forward to that.

As for Sadam…I’m not sure what to think of the whole thing. I think they are going to talk it to death, (as they seem to be doing with former President Ford’s death), and as it has already added to the violence of Iraq, I’m not convinced it’ll extend over seas at this point. But then I have stopped really paying much attention mostly for my own sanity.

I’m glad you had such a good break! My sleeping routine is completely whacked, I don’t know how I’m going to sort it! I didn’t really get much homework which I was glad about.

About Saddam, I don’t know. It’s so confusing. I mean, I guess it’s good that he was killed because that solved the problem of him escaping. But also him being killed has already caused more violence. But even if he had escaped he would have been caught soon enough and he would never have regained the power he once had. x

i read tons of articles on the event and its aftermath. and the repercussions of said event are going to be phenomenal. and to be honest, i really wouldn’t be too surprised if they mocked the whole thing and still have him either in captivity or have released him unbeknown t to the public. the idea really isn’t that far fetched.

on a lighter note, i hope you have a wonderful new years! make the most of it.

    xoxo

You only have 18 more days left of school? Sweet. I’m in university, and our spring term starts in a couple of weeks. Blah.

Changing your sleep schedule is tough, particularly when you have nothing to do so you just sleep all morning. I am *so* guilty of that.

War is not pretty. But we’ve been fighting wars over stupid crap for millions of years before we were even but a twinkle in our father’s eye. The only difference is that our technology has changed, and the deaths are scarier because of it.

YAY for Christmas break and messed up sleeping schedules – I am going through the same thing! ;)

And I agree, there def. are going to be some bad repercussions from Saddam Hussein’s execution. I saw it online, how they put the robe around his neck and I got a big lump in my throat. :P Punishing somebody for killing by killing them just doesn’t seem right to me.

Interesting… I’ve never heard of anyone describe Christmas break as Winter Recess. =P
My sleep skedule is messed up too, unfortunately. Now I seem to always be feeling sleepy!! Good luck on your sleeping though.
