After a four month (well technically two) internet coma, I am sort-of back. I lack enthusiasm for any sort of actual work and I’ve just been really tired lately, not exactly sure why either…
Well, heres a recap of important events over the last few months
- April - turned 18
- June - Graduated from high school
- July - got another job… :S
- June 2006-November 2007; April 2008-Now - Work on Zeisu (died and restarted numerous times)
And then of course there were some not-so-important events
- I made a Kate Pierson poster
(sad I know…)
- Started experimenting with flash and Flex
Wow, my life is boring… No wonder all I want to do is sleep

I am still alive! As its 4:20 and my eyes kinda hurt, I’ll keep it short. A few months ago my family moved into a house that was nearly twice as large as the one we previously lived in. Being the tightwads that we are, we didn’t get a moving truck and instead made countless trips back and forth between the two houses (which luckily were only a mile-or-so away).
It was a long and tedious task, but finally we finished. Weeks slowly went by then my mom (and a few other members of my family who will remain unnamed) decided they were homesick. So lucky me, I got to move everything back to the first house. Nothing better than a rousing game of musical houses.
So following the move, a series of mishaps involving various shitty telecommunication companies, a set of demon children and pit bulls and a depressing bout of unemployment, things have finally begun to slow down… but for how long?

Today, I have to say is much better than yesterday was. The teachers seemed a little more settled in and everthing sorta flowed a little better. Math was alright. ACE still kinda scared me. PIG was fun, and Brit Lit was insaine. Now i’m off to make my music library, read, then go to bed

Since I posted my entry on my school’s blatant disregard to the tragedy of September 11th, some interesting information has arisen. First off is the administration.
According to the principal of the school, “No other schools were recognizing the events which occurred that day, so why should we?” In fact, he felt no remourse in ignoring this date and come to find out, all the other schools in the area had a moment of silence. A group of students at my school started a petition for a late moment of silence. After getting about 3/4 of the school to sign it, Mr. Abrams agreed to set up a meeting with the group.
The day of the meeting arrived and the group of students arrived to meet with him. He never showed up. Shortly before classes were to begin, he walked into his office and his secretary reminded him of the meeting. According to one student, he said “He had completely forgotten about it.” Basically he tried to avoid the situation. Instead of forgetting about the meeting, the students walked with him and they had their meeting. In the following days, nothing happened. Then shortly after, a 20 second moment of silence was observed. The students believed it was a moment of triumph.
Wrong! Although the students did the work, the recognition was most likely only due to parents who called and complained. Knowing he was in hot water, he gave in. And then to make the school look even better, a “Letter to the Editor” was posted in the local paper.
My son Evan, who just completed his basic training for the Army this summer and is now a senior, was upset that Sept. 11 was not observed in Horseheads High School.
As a parent having two sons and a son-in-law in the military, I’m just as angry. How can a national tragedy and the lives of thousands of innocent American lives be forgotten?
I’d like to quote the words of Franklin D. Roosevelt after the attack on Pearl Harbor, “… a date that will live in infamy.”
The date related to Horseheads High School will always be Sept. 11, the day the principal and other school district officials so thoughtlessly failed to observe.
I want to say that I’m very proud of my son and the other students who by the courage of their convictions are trying to remedy this situation.
I wish more of our leaders in our school district had the backbone and courage to stand up and do what is right as these students did. Hopefully their determination to do right will undo a wrong.
How soon we have forgotten the terror we all felt when we saw our nation under attack only six short years ago.
ROBERT BURDICK JR.
Burdick, Robert. “Horseheads High should have observed 9/11 .” Star-Gazette 20 September 2007: A8+.
All in all, I would have to say it was a bitter-sweet victory for the remembrance of September 11th. Honestly, whats worse, ignoring the fact the events took place, or to recognize them only because failing to causes criticism?

I can not believe it! Exactly one year ago, I started this blog and so much has changed, from the way I blog, to my whole outlook on life. As you can see from my first post to now, quite a big difference. I am past the ideology of, “I did this and this to the site, enjoy” and have moved onto writing about what I feel like writing about.
So anyways,
Happy Birthday
Another Friday!
Thanks!
I would like to give special thanks to everyone who has helped me over the past year, they include (In no particular order of course):
Carly | Chris | Jem | Sarah (Makar) | Starlet
Jacob | Clay (Ciara) | Chris | Erik
Rose | Jessily | (Georgie)
And lets not forget
Horseheads High School and all of it’s students for giving me something to hate!
With that being said, Thank you to ALL who bothered to read ANYTHING I have written and I hope to keep it going!

Things have been quite hectic lately. Not that its a ton, but more than usual. To make matters worse, I think I’m getting sick or am sick. Nice 14-15 hours of sleep a day. Its so bad that I leave school and crash until the next day. Great isn’t it!
Anyways, I downloaded Firefox 2 the other day and I love it. The interface is nice and it keeps my preferences better than the 1.X series! I can’t wait until the v2 portable Firefox comes out, I use it at school… shows how nerd-like I am.
A bit more of an excuse. I am currently coding The Hangout Resurrected and making good progress. At the rate I am going, it should be ready for Beta Testing near mid to late November. If you registered to be a beta-tester, you will receive an email in a few weeks containing the instructions. Keep on the lookout.
Mindless Trio (and all Mindless Trio Sites) will be getting a face-lift soon. I think everyone will be pleased with it. Anyways, thats about it. New layout soon, hopefully.
Thats it for my all-over sum-it-up-in-10-sentences-post. Until next time.

I think I may hiatus this site. I don’t enjoy it right now. Too much writing for English!

wanna hear why? Probably not, but I’m gonna tell you anyways :). Anyways, for the last few days I have been working on compiling my PHP/ASP/CSS “binder” reference. Come on, who seriously wants to buy a book when theres hundreds of tutorials out there. (To be honest I do own a few books, but its always room for more. Anyways, I have tutorials from Rons Guide, Tizag, Sillyish, Quadodo, and phpfreaks. Its getting really big, lots of content! Anyways, ive printed at least 200+ pages worth of stuff using school ink/paper. They probably won’t be to happy to see how much ink/paper was used for somthing non-school related. I also showed my friends this video i posted on YouTube, Toucan Son Of Sam. It was my favorite music video when I was little and they freaked out. Hopefully boces wasn’t watching :mf_tongue: . . .
Anyways, I am probably gonna start on a new layout soon, I like this one a lot, but its probably time for a change. Any suggestions?

I am very sorry for the downtime. If for the past few days this site has not been working for you in IE, i have figured out why. I had this tag in my header for some reason
<html style="display: none;">
which apparently hides the entire page only in IE. Go figure. Anyways, it is now working in IE again.
DNS Troubles
Mindlesstrio.com recently expired, so i renewed it. So today it finished transfering, so i changed the dns settings and its taking forever to change. By Monday at the latest everything should be working again. Thank you for your patience.

It was brought to my attention that there was an error with the contact form. I have gone through and saw that it was an extremely stupid mistake on my part. It is fixed now, and I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.
On Another Note
I am currently adding the contests as well as some more tutorials right this minute. I promised and they are coming!
EDIT:
I have added 6 contests to the site. They can be viewed here. (Or by clicking “Visitor” and then Contests.

Yep, I’m sick again. Pneumonia is so much fun. Anyways, went to the doctor today, and he was worried, (which makes you feel great!). So now im on tons of medecine and am out of gym until further notice, (but it doesn’t matter, I am FAILING gym due to absences now, (but mom should take care of that he he). Anyways, slept from 4pm until 10pm, so now I’m wide awake.
Sway Forum
I finally reached 500 posts at Sway Forum. It’s really not a big deal because majority of the members have over 1000 posts, but I lurk more than anything. But I didn’t even notice I made it to 500 posts, until today when i saw i had 510. So my new user title is Mindless Dictator. Also see my awesome avatar made by Makar.

As For Updates
I wrote a few more tutorials, they are simple javascript ones, but I have some more advanced ones coming, I promise. I also added a countdown, It probably doesn’t have much relevance to you, but I’ve been counting down until the end of the school year since September. We’re almost there.
New Sites
I am also working on a few new websites. Dev-Network & The Hangout <<Resurrected>>. The first is simply a forum/web design help site, not too much I can really say there. But I am really excited about The Hangout Resurrected. Think neopets, but not as cheesy (and no pets, I don’t think). The Hangout was my very first extremely bad attempt at a website. Infact thats where my username hdshngout came from. I retired it last summer, but now I want to bring it back. The ‘new’ Hangout should be opening late this summer.
And Can’t Forget about Gym Class!
This really has no revelance at all, but it was different. First we got there, and we played Line Tag. Thats where you run around the gym and tag people, but you can only stay on the lines painted on the floor, and when your tagged you had to sit on the line and create a road block. Keep in mind were 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. Below is a simplified version of the lines painted on the gym floor:

We then played this game where we had to run around in 2 circles and find your partner and do a pose, like the dev-site theres not really too much I can say here.
After that we played Red Rover, it was going fine until one kid said, “Lets link our arms in a chain.” Of course when that happens someone comes running into you and it kills. That happened to me. My friend Tom ran into my and my friends little brother, JJ, and nearly ripped our arms off. (We did manage to stop him though ;)).
After that we played Simon Says. It was quite strange. The kid who suggested it got to be Simon, but when he said “Simon Says: Pick your Friends Nose,” I quit. Come on, thats just wrong.
And finally we played Duck Duck Goose. It was strange, the kids in the class had as much fun as if they were in kindergarten. A bit strange, but it wasn’t a bad gym class at all.
