A Hunting I will go…

…job hunting that it. You would not believe how hard it is for a 17 year old to get a job anywhere. Today I went to a movie with my ex-girlfriend Megan and after the movie I went application hunting. Our god-awful mall has about 30 stores (each basically the same store, different name) and I applied at a good portion of them. However some had some strange rules which prevented me for applying.

1) Hershey Ice Cream Store - Must be 18 to scoop ice cream. (???) But what made it even more interesting was you could he 15 to pour scorching coffee in the store adjacent to it (Morning Brew).

2) Walden Books - Must be 18 years old to sell books. But whats funny is if you’re 16, you can use an oven, prepare food, use a deep fryer, a meat slicer, and drive semi-heavy machinery.

After hunting for a good 3 hours, we decided to go to Friendly’s and we (Megan and I) split a Munchy Mania and a side of fries (so healthy!). I then got a cone-head sundae and she had a friend-z. Luckily I didn’t have to pay for it (but I payed for the movie so I guess it evened out). We left and my hippie store, Rainbows End, closed. Now where will I get my incense?!

Anyways, following my hangover-like headache and a chat with Rose, I am ready for bed… Thank god its Spring Break!

I know what you mean about job hunting, so annoying. Hate the age rules, I could walk round the store with upto 3 grand on me, access to latest laptops/desktops but not do finance.

Good luck though :)

Haha glad I’m still a high school student… don’t have to go for job hunting right now =P

Good luck with your job hunting though, I hope you could get a good job that suits you. =)
